About Us The Mackay Maltese Club is a non-profit organisation which was established on 12th May, 1997. The Mackay Maltese Club is an amalgamation of the Mackay Maltese Festival Association INC. together with the Friends of Malta-Mackay Inc. The Objectives for which the Association is established are: To promote traditional devotions to our Lady of Victories To foster Maltese cultural, religious and sporting activities in the Mackay community To help develop cultural awareness amongst the descendants of Maltese immigrants in Mackay and elsewhere in Australia To act as a focal point of Maltese cultural awareness in Mackay and district To act as a steering committee for the organisation of a Maltese Festival in Mackay and district.
